| Our litigation and contentious business department has grown
substantially over recent years as evidenced by the involvement
in the Department of three of the firm's partners.
The department is concerned with dispute resolution in a wide range
of commercial fields, including contractual disputes, disputes concerning
land, accident and personal injury claims, professional negligence
actions and landlord and tenant matters.
Careful analysis of the legal and factual issues enables us to
give practical, clear cut advice, designed to avoid confusion and
unproductive compromise and enabling clients to take an informed
view o f the various options that can emerge as a dispute progresses.
The right approach is particularly important. Knowing the law is
only half the battle; the tactics and strategy have to be correct
and the right team of counsel and experts has to be assembled to
achieve the most satisfactory solution.
With major matters we will often put together a team made up of
members from other departments. We encourage full reporting at each
stage to keep you fully informed. The benefit for the client is
an efficient cost-effective service.
Competence and commitment together with approachability enable
us to offer enthusiastic and flexible support adapted to your needs
and resources.
The firm is a member of The Law Society Accident Line Scheme.
We were one of the first firms in the country to be awarded a Legal
Aid Board Franchise followed in January 2000 by a full Legal Aid
contract demonstrating the high standard of legal work and the efficient
and cost-effective service available over a wide range of disciplines.
